The First World-wide Stem Cell Center Awards WHO Registration Regarding “Phase Ⅱ Stem Cell Clinical Experiment”

The Stem Cell Center in the General Hospital of Armed Police Forces, China awards the first world-wide WHO Registration Regarding “Phase Ⅱ Stem Cell Clinical Experiment”. The applying title is “The Motor Function Improvement for Child Cerebral Palsy with Stem Cell Transplantation”.

Since the application to the approval of WHO, it takes three years with the efforts of whole medical team of stem cell neurology department. The research shows mesenchymal stem cells has incredible treatment result to improve the motor function of child cerebral palsy. In addition, there is no side effects according to observation of 2464 cases. The effective rate is 86%. The research result has been published in the international professional stem cell research journal named Cytotherapy .

Stem Cell Center in the General Hospital of Armed Police Forces, China was found in 2004 having a first-level medical team with many postdoctors, doctors, and masters. Cells center China was led by Dr. Wang Zhongcheng and Dr. An Yihua proceeding both stem cell research and clinical practice. This is the first wold-wide stem cell center that started cerebral palsy treatment with stem cells. At present, our stem cell neurology department has applied “ pase Ⅲ clinical experiment for cerebral palsy treatment with stem cell transplant”. It has been verified by US FDA. Expecting stem cell research get further achievements in neurology and help more patients get benefits from stem cell treatment.
