Successful Case of Spinal Cord Injury with C3/4 Injury

In Jan, 2012, Mr. Yang had a car accident that led to cervical broken C3/4. After the surgery, he got triplegia. During last 11 months, he took simple rehabilitation training at home but without any improvement. On 1st, June, 2012, Mr. Yang was admitted in stem cell center for stem cell treatment. After diagnosis, doctors made a treatment plan for him. After one course stem cell treatment, we made a comparison of his condition.

Before Stem Cell Treatment for Spinal Cord Injury:
1. Weak cervical and lumbar strength. Can’t lift head and sit up by himself.
2. Both two arms have poor strength. Left arm can slightly move. Right hand can lift up to the chest level.
3. Very poor strength and high muscle tension of fingers. He can’t hold things such as pen and cellphone.
4. Showing dizzy giddy when sit up with the help of relative. It is because of postural hypotension.
5. No control over empty bladder, constipation.
13 Days After First Course Stem Cell Treatment:
1. Cervical and lumbar strength increase a lot. With the help of relative, patient can sit and lift head for long time with good balance.
2. Both two arms have better strength. Right arms can lift over head.
3. Fingers can hold cellphone easily with increase of muscle strength and lower muscle tension.
4. Postural hypotension is disappear after one course stem cell treatment.
5. Begin to have sensation when empty his bladder. Constipation is obviously improved.
According to our follow up for discharged patients, patients continue to show improvements in different levels after take treatment for 6-12 months. 13 days after stem cell treatment, Mr. Yang already get obvious improvement. With the combination of stem cells and proper physical therapy, we believe Mr. Yang’s condition can be better and better.
