Stem Cells Gives Hope to Patients with Cerebral Palsy

Today I have an opportunity to make diagnosis with Dr. An,the Director of Stem Cell Center in the General Hospital of Armed Forces, China.This morning, Dr. An Yihua diagnosed 11 patients with central nervous system diseases such as infantile cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, Motor Neuron Injury, Cerebral palsy combined with epilepsy etc. I feel sad when I am seeing the very young children and their worrying relatives.Most of them have already saw many hospitals and tried different ways treatment.I see different reactions from the parents. Some of them feel very excited because they heard Dr. An said their baby has big chance to stand up with stem cell treatment. Some of them feel doubt about the treatment result and ask a guarantee. Yes, we understand them but there is no any hospital can give you a 100% treatment guarantee. Then Dr. An will let them go to the ward area to talk with other patients and make the last decision by themselves. We give chance to every patients to know the real treatment result and then make the decision for treatment.
